Diogo Rodrigues received a PhD degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with a distinction for a remarkable PhD thesis from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in 2018. Between 2018 and 2019, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Decision and Control Systems, KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Between 2019 and 2021, Diogo Rodrigues was a postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, University of California, Berkeley, with the support of a fellowship grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation. Between 2021 and 2022, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Centro de Química Estrutural, Instituto Superior Técnico. Between 2022 and 2023, Diogo Rodrigues was a junior researcher at Centro de Recursos Naturais e Ambiente, Instituto Superior Técnico, with the support of a Scientific Employment Stimulus contract from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugal. Since 2023, Diogo Rodrigues is an assistant professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. His research interests include process control and optimization, system identification, and optimal control.
